How we keep your information safe
Tax returns hold some of your most personal details. Here's what protects them, in plain words.

Your calculations stay on your device
Every calculator runs in your browser. The salary, rent and investment figures you type aren't sent to us or anyone else. You don't need an account or a password to use them.
Encrypted from your browser to us
FileITR.in only works over HTTPS, and browsers are told never to connect without it. Everything between you and the site is encrypted on the way.
A locked-down website
- Only our own scripts, and Google Analytics, are allowed to run on our pages. This blocks most attempts to inject code into the site.
- Other websites can't show our pages inside theirs, so nobody can disguise a fake form as ours.
- Google Analytics never receives your name, number, email or the figures you type, and you can turn it off with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.
Your enquiries
- When you send the "Chat with an expert" form, your details go over HTTPS to a database encrypted at rest (AES-256), run by Cloudflare, our hosting provider.
- It accepts requests only from our own pages, checks every field, and limits repeated requests to stop misuse.
- We don't store your IP address or device details with your enquiry.
Your documents
- We use your documents only to prepare and file your return, and only the people working on it can open them.

What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never use your documents for anything other than your taxes.
Keeping yourself safe
- Check the address bar says fileitr.in before you type anything.
- Share documents only with our WhatsApp number, +91 74831 55620, or [email protected].
- If someone claiming to be from FileITR.in contacts you from another number or email, check with us first.
