Common questions
How is crypto taxed in India?
Gains on each sale are taxed at a flat 30%, plus 4% cess, whatever your slab. Surcharge applies if your total income is over ₹50 lakh.

What is the 1% TDS?
1% of the sale value is deducted when you sell (s.194S). It shows in Form 26AS and counts towards your tax.
Is it different in the new regime?
No. The 30% rate applies in both regimes.
What can I deduct?
Only what you paid to buy the crypto. No fees, interest or other expenses.
